Scientific Assessment
In the paper „New dynamics of social status and distinction” new dynamics of social status and distinction in liquid consumption are developed. Flexibility and attention are characterized as the two main resources for social status. In the following reflection, liquid consumption will be differed from solid consumption, the way how consumers achieve social status and distinction nowadays will be explained and the behaviour of my friends’ liquid consumption will be shown.
